After 5 nominations and 3 Golds over the last 2 years the TBI team have been nominated for 3 more Sony’s in the 2011 awards for both BBC and commercial client projects. With over a 1000 entries this year from the highest profile radio stations, the Sony Awards are effectively the industry ‘Oscars’ representing the pinnacle of creative achievement in the sector.

The John Bonham Story, presented by Foo Fighters’ frontman and rock legend Dave Grohl, was broadcast on BBC 6 Music in May 2010 and is in the running for Best Music Special.

The Yamaha Download has been nominated for Best Internet Programme. Presented by BBC Radio 2’s Richard Allinson, this is a real celebration of the best music gear built through impartial journalism by genuine music lovers.

TBI Creative Director Phil Critchlow is also Executive Producer of The Dermot O’Leary Show on BBC Radio 2 which is up, once again, for Best Music Programme having won the gold in that category in 2010.

  • Broadcast -Classic FM - Woburn Live

    Woburn Live

    TBI produced and co-promoted, with partners Musical Associates, ‘Classic FM Live at Woburn Abbey’. The concert was presented by Katie Derham and Simon Bates and broadcast on Classic FM. It included a 50th anniversary celebration of West Side Story in partnership with Universal Music. A range of other classics were also played by the English National Orchestra and guest performers included Julian Lloyd Webber, Hayley Westenra, Paul Potts and Vittorio Grigolo.

  • On Line - Yamaha Download

    Drummer

    TBI Media conceived, and now produces Yamaha’s monthly on line project ‘The Yamaha Download’, aimed at those in the UK who want a highly paced update of everything that’s happening at Yamaha HQ. Presented by national broadcaster Richard Allinson the project features strong journalism and regular live music sessions from a guest line up any national radio station would be proud of. All of the incidental music and audio imaging is created in house at TBI to ensure rights are fully cleared.

  • Events - Queen – Orchestra

    2008 saw the launch of an epic concert featuring the music of Queen and produced by Musical Associates. TBI was contracted to record and film one of the concerts and worked with partners ‘Dependable Productions’ to produce a documentary-style promotional DVD.

    Working with partners ‘Dependable Productions’ we use multi-camera teams to film events including artist performances and interviews, in highly cost effective ways for online broadcast, both pre-recorded and live.
